COLLAGE COUTURE, a fusion of fashion and art, will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Foosaner Art Museum, during the run of the exhibit Derek Gores: Local Edition.
The show features the creations of ten designers, all regional Florida creatives, from diverse backgrounds including Fashion, Interior Design, Film/Video, Fitness and the Floral industry. Looks will be inspired by Gores’ collage work or charcoal drawings, and may be either avant garde or ready to wear.
Designers include: Sabrina Servance, Kitty Drew, Maria Storman, Nadail Watson, Lear Bunda, Cassandra Wyzik, Virginia Rivera, Jessica Neal, Rosemary Heptig and Standard Collective.
‘Collage Couture’ is one night only, Saturday, March 9, 7pm.
$25 general admission standing, $100 for runway seating. Tickets are limited.
All profits for the show will support the Renee Foosaner Education Center’s Summer Art Camp for kids.
Says Gores about the show, “Becuase I spend my time ripping up fashion magazines for my art, this will be a fun twist to reverse things and see fashion inspired by art. I can’t wait to see what the designers create, and we’re all thrilled that the event will raise funds for summer art camp scholarships. I was an eager 10 year old artist in those camps long ago, and it is important to fuel the next young creatives here in the Eau Gallie Arts District.”
